PURSUING CHRIST. CREATING ART. needed to have something special created as the cover art. My friend Dave Wilkins volunteered to create the artwork, and I’m blown away with what he’s come up with. Dave is such an amazing artist, and to have him work on the cover art for my book was an honor and a blessing for me.
The images below come from the hardcover art, so the text on each side is printed on the inside flaps. It looks a little weird if you’re not sure what you’re looking at.
The concentric circles are vital to the artwork. Throughout the entirety of my book, I continually come back to that intersection between Jesus and art. The exact point of overlap is my exact point of exploration, and the concentric circles visually illustrate that perfectly.
On the back cover, it was extremely important that the five seconds I have before a potential reader’s eyes drew him/her to the primary emphasis of the book. As he stands in Barnes and Noble, the back cover would need to express the heartbeat of the book succinctly and in a compelling manner. The top section of the back cover does exactly that.
I’m so excited to offer this book to you. The process of creating it has been long and arduous, but the end product is something I’m very proud of. If you’re interested, you can download a free chapter here.
