My Blog – 2009 in Review
on Dec 30 in Media2009 was my first attempt at blogging.  At times it was amazing to see and experience your honest response.  And at times, I spent sleepless nights because of what I wrote, or what others wrote about me.  A blog can be exhilarating and disheartening, beautiful and ugly, gentle and abrupt.  When you blog about what you really believe, your blog becomes the art that people will look at, stare at, and either love or hate.
So I’ve looked back at my blogposts during 2009, and I’m handing out some awards.¬† Drumroll please…
Most Widely-Read Post РI wrote about an experience I had at LifeChurch.tv.  Once Tony Steward retweeted it, lots and lots of people started reading.
Most Controversial Post РThe Gay Marriage debate was huge in California during 2009.  I posted two questions for Christians to ask themselves.  Not only did people respond on my blogsite; they found my phone number, called me, and discussed the finer points with me.
Best Accidental Post РSeveral posts just happened.  They were accidental, and I responded quickly and without much thought.  At church one Sunday, I got really frustrated about how many people were consistently late for church.  So I posted.
Most Embarrassing Post – I accidentally “pocket-dialed” a friend’s phone, while I was being a jerk to my wife.¬† If you read it, you’ll hurt for me.
Most Tears Post – Every time I read (watch) this post, I cry.
Funniest Post – I can’t even describe this; you’ll just have to read it.
But the most important Award is handed out to you – you who choose to visit this site and read and interact with the words.¬† It’s not like thousands of people visit my blog, but that’s fine with me.¬† I just heartily appreciate the blessed souls who have chosen to walk this amazing journey with me – whether we agree or not.
Can’t wait to see what 2010 holds.¬† It’s gonna be a wild ride!
