Why Clean Water?

With our recent trip to El Salvador, many friends thought it was a noble cause, but would later admit to me that they didn’t really get it.  I don’t think I really got it either.

Until I went.

Until this…

Untitled from Floodgate Productions on Vimeo.

The truth is this:  When God puts something on your heart, you just need to do it.  Many team members put the cost of the entire trip on a major credit card.  Good for them!  Two students missed a week of school, while professionals used up a week of vacation. Good for them!

Because when God speaks to your heart, there’s a reason.  And most of the time, we never know the reason until after we obey The Voice.

Please post your thoughts and reactions below.

PS:  This experience has caused my wife and I to re-invent Christmas this year.  I posted some flawed planning thoughts here.

We need more people who will record what people who are the 'hands and feet of Jesus' in our current world so people like you will re-think their financial giving period; not just at Christmas or Thanksgiving but everytime they are paid for doing something.

A thought that maybe complicated: do missionaries (long-term) get paid for what they do?? or do they get "financial support?"

Great and inspiring video. I hope mine comes out half as well as yours did.

I'm gonna say something here that might offend, so I appologize in advance. In looking at the comments I see a lot of praise for Gary and the team. And while I celebrate with them the blessing of obedience, it's not about Gary or his team and their Godly obedience. It's about or great God. You see He has this amazing way of raining down blessing on us. If you look at this one act of obedience you see how much blessing God rained down from it. Certainly the villiage was blessed in a major way, that is the obvious one. But God also blessed Gary and the team, I am very sure their hearts were filled with joy and love and most likely will never be the same again. Then you have those of us who have seen the video. How have we been blessed, I certainly felt joy and love and I know I was challenged…so God used an act of obedience to bless so many people…that's what it's about.
